What makes an OMRI Listed product natural & organic different than a natural & organic product not listed with OMRI?
Non-OMRI Listed product – the product is made with naturally occurring components, but the sourcing of the components and documentation of the manufacturing processes has not occurred.

OMRI Listed product – All of the components are reviewed for organic authenticity and the manufacturing process is reviewed and documented so a verifiably organic product is produced.

Why is a gardening product OMRI Listed and not Certified Organic?
Certified Organic – The USDA organic certification program was designed for verifying the organic authenticity of consumable organic products for the consumer.
OMRI Listed – OMRI is an independent organization that was organized by the organic certification agencies for the review of “inputs” that are used in the production of certified organic products.  Organic farmers depend on OMRI Listed products because they know they have been reviewed for appropriateness of use and when they are used it makes the certification process easier for the farmer.
