Always the last weekend in April, Oregon Ag Fest is an activity-filled festival where kids (and grown ups too!) can touch, taste and experience life on the farm!
The Oregon Farm Bureau hosted a booth at the 2012 Oregon Ag Fest, April 28 – 29, 2012, at the State Fairgrounds in Salem.
Those who stopped by OFB’s booth were able to make a famous “Dirt Baby” (aka a farmer’s version of a Chia Pet) with the help of Farm Bureau volunteers.
Black Gold made a generous donation this year of 31 cases of Black Gold Natural and Organic Potting Soil to the Oregon Farm Bureau for the “Dirt Baby” event at their booth. Be sure to stop by their booth and join in the fun!
Kids played with ag toys, jumped in a “corn pool,” read, watched videos, and learned more about why agriculture is important.
